ISLAND EXPRESS
Island Express is the largest boat in our fleet at 40 feet in length. Made by Munson Boats right here in western Washington, Island Express is a landing craft style boat made of lightweight, durable aluminum. Munson is renowned for building the highest quality work boats, capable of handling nearly any weather condition. This boat has been specially designed for beach and rocky shoreline landings. The drop down bow makes this boat the most versatile for any shoreline, combined with the exceptional ease for loading and unloading. Certified by the United States Coast Guard for 33 passengers. With the ability to transport up to 2,000 pounds of freight in its 150 square feet of deck space, Island Express has the capability to handle most of your hauling needs. It’s heated cabin, cushioned seats, onboard restroom, and ample windows allow passengers to travel in comfort while taking in the sights of the San Juans. Island Express is powered by twin 380hp diesel engines (Cummins 6.7L QSB), giving it a cruising speed of 18-21 knots to get you to your destination quickly and comfortably.

ISLAND EXPRESS II
Island Express II is the most agile boat in our fleet with a shallow draft and top cruising speed of 25 knots. At 35 feet in length, Island Express II is fast and nimble. Built by Latitude Marine Services in our neighboring waterfront community, La Conner, Island Express II shares a similar landing craft design to our larger vessel, Island Express. This aluminum work boat is tough, landing on any shoreline with its drop down bow, allowing for trouble-free loading and unloading. Certified by the United States Coast Guard for 20 passengers, it has indoor seating for 18 passengers and outdoor seating for 2. Island Express II can haul up to 1,000 pounds of freight in its 70 square feet of deck space. It’s heated cabin, cushioned seats, onboard restroom, and ample windows allow passengers to travel in comfort while taking in the sights of the San Juans. Island Express II is powered by twin 315 hp diesel engines (Yanmar 6YLP).

LEEWAY
Leeway is the newest boat to our fleet, coming to us all the way from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, where she previously served offshore oil rigs. Leeway is a 38 foot aluminum landing craft catamaran built by Armstrong Marine, now know as BRIX Marine, in Port Angeles, Washington. BRIX is acclaimed for being the “first in cats” and producing high-performance work boats. With the catamaran hull design, Leeway handles any rough seas with the utmost of comfort. Similar in design to Island Express and Island Express II, Leeway’s drop down bow provides landing versatility on any shoreline and exceptional ease during loading and unloading. Certified by the United States Coast Guard for 16 passengers, it has indoor seating for 12 passengers and outdoor seating for 4. Leeway is our freight hauling workhorse, with the ability to haul up to 2,000 pounds of freight in its nearly 185 square feet of deck space. It’s heated cabin, cushioned seats, onboard restroom, and ample windows allow passengers to travel in comfort while taking in the sights of the San Juans. Leeway is powered by twin 300 hp outboard engines (Yamaha), giving it a cruising speed of 16-20 knots.
